Stakes raised for TCAP testing

It’s no longer just a pesky test where you fill in bubbles with a No. 2 pencil.TCAP testing now has real meaning for students and teachers.Tennessee Comprehensive Assessment Program tests have long been used as a way to evaluate the quality of a school system. But this will be the first year TCAP scores count for 15 percent of student grades and 35 percent of teacher evaluations.TCAP testing began yesterday in Warren County for students in grades 3-8 with primary testing continuing through Thursday.
