Special tree may be city's Christmas centerpiece

Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas, at least in historic downtown McMinnville. City employees have begun the annual task of placing decorations on light poles, City Hall and in the flower planters.
The city’s annual tree search could be coming to an end if the large tree that has been donated to the city can be relocated from its rural setting to an urban one at The Lot.“We did find a tree,” said city administrator Bill Brock. “The problem is I’m trying to decide if it’s too big for us to move. This tree is almost as tall as it is wide.
