Special judge hears two short dockets
Placeholder Image
The last General Sessions dockets of the year produced only three cases with shoplifters accounting for almost all the sentences handed down by special judges.Included in court action both Tuesday and Thursday:• Rodney Davis was placed on probation for an 11-month, 29-day period and must make $331 restitution for shoplifting. He was released on time already served and has been warned to stay out of Walmart.• Mandy Bennett was granted an 11-month, 29-day judicial diversion and released on time served for shoplifting. The diversion means she can have her criminal record erased at the end of her probationary period.
