Shot fired at taxi driver

A man was sentenced to 60 days in jail after a taxi driver said he opened fire on him when he arrived to deliver beer.The alleged shooter, Steven Goldstein, 40, entered a guilty plea before General Sessions Judge Bill Locke to the lesser charge of simple assault. He was ordered to serve 60 days of an 11-month, 29-day sentence and has been warned not to contact the victim. He was also ordered to surrender his firearm.
