Sentences handed down in traffic court

A 74-person arraignment docket was heard by Judge Bill Locke in General Sessions Traffic Court.

 

Included in the session:

 

Tyler Calloway was ordered to serve 90 days of an 11-month, 29-day sentence, pay $50 plus costs and lose his driver license for one year for eighth-offense driving on a revoked license.

 

Teodoro Olvera was instructed to serve five days of an 11-29 sentence, pay $50 plus costs and lose his driver license for two years for second-offense driving on a suspended license.

 

Jason Hinds was directed to serve 48 hours of an 11-29 sentence, pay $350 plus costs, perform 24 hours public service work, attend DUI class and lose his driver license for one year for DUI.

 

Craig Keller and Justin Spicer were directed to serve 48 hours of an 11-29 sentence, pay $350 plus costs, perform 24 hours public service work, attend DUI class and forfeit driving privileges for one year for DUI.

 

David Madina was issued an 11-29 probationary sentence and must pay $50 plus costs for contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

 

Kenneth Melendez must serve 10 days and pay $10 plus costs for driving without a license.

 

Christopher St. John was directed to serve 48 hours of a six-month sentence, pay $50 plus costs and lose his driver license for one year for driving on a revoked license.

 

Frederick Piazza and Phillip Potter were instructed to serve 48 hours of a six-month sentence, pay $50 plus costs and lose driving privileges for one year for driving on a suspended license.

 

Thomas Higgins must serve 48 hours and pay $10 plus costs for driving without a license.

 

James Sweeten was bound to the grand jury on charges of second-offense DUI and speeding.

 

Jose Cerna, Amado Reyes, Sam Northcutt, Jose Morales, James Klingegardner, Brisa Chavez, Quinta Clemmons, James Smith, Joshua Pendergrass, Marty Lance, Matthew Hudgins and Larry Hale must pay $10 plus costs for driving without a license.

 

Michael Rose was issued an 11-29 probationary sentence and must make restitution for vandalism.

 

Rita Brock must serve 30 days and have her probation extended by six months for violation of probation.
