Senior center Valentine contest raises over $1,400

The Sunny Day Adult Day Service at the Warren County Senior Center had their annual Mr. and Ms. Valentine contest raising $1,413.50. This program provides an organized program of services to activate and motivate adults 60 years of age and older who may need daytime supervision or seek a program offering an option of living more fully without isolation and loneliness.
Crowned as Mr. and Ms. Valentine is David and Ione King, raising $460.41 for the program. Crowned as Valentine Queen is Patricia Barnes, raising $116.48; and Valentine King is Paul Bomford, raising $153.75. 
Claiming second place Mr. and Ms. Valentine are Bobby and Edith Adams raising a total of $408.16, and Charlotte and Jimmy Huff raising $274.89. Others raising funds are Jeanette Griffith, Louise Pearsall and Bill Forbes.
Senior Center director Cheryl Mingle said, “We thank all these folks for working and raising money for their very worthy program. I’m not sure how many people in Warren County know about this program, and this is a great way to get the word out, and to let them know we have some openings in the program.”
