When it comes to changes to Tennessee elections, state Sen. Eric Stewart says he’s in favor of one proposal, but not another.Stewart, who represents Warren County, says he’s against a measure that would shorten the early voting period by two days. He says some election administrators favor the bill because they say it would give them more time to prepare for an election and save money.“I’m sure it would save them time and maybe money, but they’re in the business of holding elections and we need to make sure they’re doing it,” said Stewart. “Shortening early voting is something I oppose.
