If you’d like to land a job with the Warren County School System, mark this Saturday, April 5, on your calendar.
The school system will be holding a job fair at the WCHS gym from 8 a.m. to noon.
“If you’re looking for a school system job and you have a pulse, you should be there,” said school system human resources director Roy Pierce. “Anyone interested in a job should bring a résumé. All the applications are now done online.”
Pierce said a principal or administrator from every school in the county will be in attendance. In addition, Kelly Services, which handles substitute teachers, and Durham School Services, which handles bus drivers, will have representatives on hand.
“All schools and all departments will be represented,” said Pierce, who indicated the job fair would be a good opportunity to make a favorable impression before the hiring process officially begins.
With the school year entering its final two months, it won’t be long before teachers who are retiring announce their retirement plans. Pierce said school officials should begin to get a clear picture of the jobs that will be available for the 2014-15 school year in the next month or so.
For more information on Saturday’s job fair, a flyer is posted on the school system website at www.warrenschools.com.
