The Warren County Board of Education voted to approve an early Christmas present for the school system’s support staff at its December meeting. A bonus of up to $300 was handed out with the employee’s check prior to Christmas break.Director of Schools Dr. Jerry Hale said the board is pleased to provide the bonus.“The board was able to put together a bonus package for the school support personnel,” said Hale. “It ranged, depending on years of service, between $200 and $300.”There are close to 300 support personnel who work in a variety of positions.“They’re the secretaries, bookkeepers, teacher’s assistants, the cooks, custodians,” Hale said.
