Dozens of families in the Morrison community have the fixings for a delicious Christmas dinner thanks to Morrison Ruritan.Ruritan member and Morrison Mayor Sue Anderson said, “Morrison Ruritan was honored to serve 60 families in the community by providing them with food boxes. Ruritan gives back to the community in various ways. This is just one way we choose to help.”Members are informed by either the individuals themselves, or by recommendations by people in the community, of those who might need help during the holidays.The boxes contained everything needed for a delicious Christmas dinner including chicken, eggs, milk, bread, flour, sugar, green beans, pinto beans, corn, cereal, tea bags, cake mix, cake icing, fruit cocktail, cranberry sauce, butter, potatoes, chips and a bag of candy.Anderson said Morrison Ruritan has been distributing Christmas food boxes for several years.
