A man faces drug trafficking charges after he was caught in possession of morphine and meth during a traffic stop.The suspect, Steve L. Rose Jr., 40, is charged with possession of meth and morphine with intent to sell or deliver. His case will be heard before General Sessions Judge Bill Locke next month.Rose was arrested after the vehicle in which he was riding was pulled over by police on Old Smithville Road. The driver, Cheri Thomas, was stopped for driving without a license and was going to be taken into custody.“I saw her hand an item to Mr. Rose and then he concealed it in between the passenger seat and driver console,” said McMinnville Police Sgt. Ben Cantrell.
