River Park Hospital will hold a Blood Assurance Holiday Heroes blood drive on Wednesday, Dec. 17 from 12-5 p.m. at the hospital. Blood Assurance is holding several Holiday Heroes blood drives throughout its service area in an effort to boost the blood supply during the holiday season, which tends to be a difficult time to keep blood resources at needed supply levels.Volunteer blood donors are heroes to patients in need of life-saving blood and blood components. Blood Assurance supplies blood to 70 healthcare facilities in 47 counties, including River Park Hospital.
