The public is invited to the Tennessee Nursery and Landscape Association Green Industry Field Day to be held this Tuesday, June 3, at the TSU Nursery Research Center on Cadillac Lane.“Educational sessions will cover topics relating to pests, diseases, plant selection, turf care and more,” said Dr. Nick Gawel, superintendent of the Otis L. Floyd Nursery Research Center.Gawel said visitors will be able to learn about the wide array of subjects and see the facilities.“Laboratories will be open and scientists will be available to explain research and answer questions,” Gawel said.Along with the aforementioned subjects, there will be other exhibits that will appeal to anyone with a green thumb.“There will be exhibits of interest to the nursery industry, landscapers and plant enthusiasts,” Gawel said. “Field tours will also be conducted.” The event is free with no pre-registration required.
