Reno airlifted after wreck

A McMinnville man is in critical condition after being airlifted to Vanderbilt Medical Center following a Monday afternoon wreck near Sparta.Brandon Reno was ejected from his pickup as he was traveling on Highway 111. Reno had passed Sparta and was on his way to Cookeville when the accident took place around 1:30 p.m.According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Reno was traveling north in a 1998 Nissan Frontier pickup on the four-lane highway. That’s when a 1995 Toyota Corolla driven by Sparta resident Glen Winton pulled into his path.Winton was on Valley View Road attempting to cross the four-lane.
