A man who beat and terrorized his girlfriend has been bound to the grand jury on multiple felony charges.The man, Blake Campbell Raper, 28, was bound to the grand jury by General Sessions Judge Bill Locke on charges of aggravated domestic assault, aggravated kidnapping, and vandalism over $1,000. He has been ordered to stay away from the victim pending his case going before the grand jury.According to the victim, Raper arrived at her home and began to assault her.“He hit her about the face, choking her to the point of passing out,” said sheriff’s investigator Travis Thaxton, noting the woman had to go to River Park Hospital for treatment of her injuries. “He was holding a knife to her throat while threatening to kill her.”The victim told investigators she tried to get away but was caught by Raper as she was trying to escape.“She attempted to escape the residence by locking herself in a bathroom and trying to get out a window,” Thaxton said.
