Steady rain didn’t stop a food box distribution from Helping Hands Ministry on Friday morning. It may have soaked the volunteers on hand, but it didn’t drench their community spirit.“We’ve done one of these in the snow before, but this is our first one in the rain,” said Helping Hands Ministry president Tammy Comfort. “My biggest surprise is we had 60 volunteers who showed up in the rain.”Some volunteers wore rain gear while standing outside for more than two hours.
