Possession of drugs gets Gilley 90 days

A father will serve 90 days in jail after deputies came to his home following a call in which his 11-year-old son became scared when he could not wake him up.The father, Randy Clark Gilley, 36, was ordered by General Sessions Judge Bill Locke to serve 90 days of an 11-month, 29-day sentence and pay $750 plus costs for possession of drugs. Additional charges of child neglect and possession of a firearm by a felon were dismissed as part of the plea bargain. However, Gilley must surrender weapons that were found inside his residence to his mother.Gilley’s jail time comes after his son could not wake him up.“When I arrived, I found him laying on the couch,” recalled sheriff’s deputy Mike Vann.
