Independent challenger Tim Pirtle has come up strong in campaign spending as he looks to unseat incumbent District Attorney Lisa Zavogiannis, outspending her in the home stretch leading to Election Day on Aug. 7. According to second quarter campaign finance reports, Pirtle spent $19,250 in the second quarter which ended last week. His biggest single expenditure was just over $5,800 to Logo Works for signs and balloons.
