A drunk man fleeing the scene of his crime on a stolen four-wheeler was stopped short Tuesday evening when he slammed into a minivan on Francis Ferry Road.The suspect, Christopher Pinegar, 29, of Smithville is charged with possession of stolen property, DUI, driving on a revoked license, failure to wear a helmet and failure to obey a stop sign. He also has outstanding warrants out of Warren and DeKalb counties.His problems began on bitterly cold Tuesday night as he was riding a 2005 Honda four-wheeler on Salem Road. Lawmen say he had stolen the ATV earlier in the day and had waited until the cover of darkness to move it so he could sell it.
