A man was injured Monday afternoon when his pickup ran off Old Shelbyville Road and slammed head-on into a utility pole.The driver, Gail Grizzle, was taken to River Park Hospital by the Warren County Emergency Ambulance Service for treatment of injuries he sustained when his truck ran off the two-lane road near its intersection with Doyle Frazier Road about a mile west of Crisp Springs Road.The head-on impact splintered the wooden pole and left the pickup with heavy damage as it hit nearly dead center with the pole. Investigators suspect Grizzle may have suffered from some type of medical issue that caused him to veer off the road. The specific area of Old Shelbyville Road where the wreck happened has virtually no shoulder and has a steep drop on both sides.
