In what may be the largest field ever to seek office in Warren County, 14 candidates have thrown their hats in the ring to become the next Assessor of Property.“This is the most I’ve seen run for a single office,” said election administrator Donna Smith, who has been with the election office since the mid-1970s. “We’ve had 10 run for sheriff, but 14 for one office is probably a record.”The candidates are seeking the post of retiring property assessor Carolyn Miller. She has announced her retirement, effective Sept. 1, after serving 20 years in the office.
