County Executive John Pelham has not decided whether he will seek a third term in office, saying he will announce his decision at the beginning of the year.“My wife and I are spending a lot of time in prayer about it,” Pelham said when asked Monday if he intends to seek re-election. “The deadline isn’t until February so that gives me plenty of time to reach a decision. Hopefully I’ll be able to say for sure by the first of the year.”Pelham’s revelation comes after two potential candidates, Republican John Shields and Democrat Herschel Wells Sr., picked up qualifying papers the first day petitions were available Friday.
