Two members of Pearls of Christ Church were awarded scholarships for their continuing education.
One recipient, Makayla Sweeton, is a 2014 graduate of Grundy County High School. She is currently enrolled at Motlow State Community College in McMinnville. She is majoring in nursing with plans on pursuing a career as a pediatric nurse.
The other recipient, Colton Fincher, is a senior at Warren County High School. He will be attending Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville this fall, majoring in exercise and sports science. Colton’s ultimate plan is to obtain his doctorate in physical therapy. Both recipients received a $1,000 per semester scholarship from Pearls of Christ.
Pastor Anthony Wanamaker said, “We at Pearls of Christ love our youth. And for those who have been faithful to their service of Christ throughout their years of high school, we want to do everything we can to equip them for the mission fields of higher education, professional work environments and for their future.”
