City residents will get to vote on whether to restore the Park Theatre.McMinnville officials voted on Thursday night to place the question on the November ballot in the form of a referendum.“It’s in the hands of city residents now,” said Alderman Junior Medley. “Let your voice be heard.”Board members voted 5-2 in favor of a referendum to let McMinnville residents voice their stance on whether city tax dollars should be used for Park Theatre restoration. In favor of the measure were Mayor Norman Rone, Vice Mayor Everett Brock and Aldermen Billy Wood, Clair Cochran and Medley.Aldermen Rick Barnes and Jimmy Haley voted against it.When questioned about his vote after the meeting, Haley said, “It’s not that I’m necessarily against the referendum.
