The mother and father of a baby born addicted to heroine will be required to serve jail time. The couple, Kerrie Lynn Neal and Joshua Hans Grissom, were sentenced by Circuit Court Judge Bart Stanley to serve 60 days of three-year sentences on charges of reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon. Prosecutors say heroine was the potentially deadly weapon in this case.Their jail time comes after their baby boy was diagnosed with an addiction to heroin at the time of his birth. That addiction was passed down to the child by his mother due to her continued use of the illegal substance through pregnancy.
