Pamela Rogers released from prison

After more than six years in the women’s state penitentiary, former Centertown Elementary teacher Pamela Rogers is free after serving her entire sentence for her sexual affair with a 13-year-old student.Rogers, 35, was released from state custody recently after completing the balance of her 10-year sentence. Her service time came to less than the 10 years ordered by Circuit Court Judge Bart Stanley in 2006 because of good service time credits she earned while an inmate in the Tennessee Prison for Women in Nashville. Her original sentence included eight years for sexual battery by an authority figure with an extra two years added for exploitation of a minor.Her release is unconditional with the exception she must remain listed with the Tennessee Sexual Offender registry for life.
