Pace arrested for attempted murder

A Summitville resident charged with shooting a man in the face was arrested at a motel in McMinnville after officers introduced a chemical irritant into his room. Samuel Pace Jr., 20, was arrested Monday night at Scottish Inn on Sparta Street after a standoff with law enforcement. He is being held in the Coffee County Jail under a $150,000 bond and is charged with attempted first-degree murder.
