McMinnville officials will be meeting Tuesday night for an update in connecting Sallys Alley to Rocket Park by means of a new walking trail beside the Barren Fork River. Negotiations have been under way between property owners and the city for the past two to three months. Parks and Recreation Committee members encouraged Mayor Jimmy Haley in February to continue negotiations with the heirs of Paul Barnes, who will have to allow the trail to cross family owned property.In February, easement agreement negotiations looked promising between Haley and the heirs, Barry Barnes and Paul Michael Barnes.“They would like naming rights to that section of the greenway area,” Haley said.
