Officers make large meth bust

A Grundy County couple was bound to the grand jury this week after they were caught smuggling a large quantity of methamphetamine when they were pulled over during a routine traffic stop.The suspects, Mark Johnson, 32, and Shae Lewis, 30, both of Tracy City, were bound to the grand jury by Judge Bill Locke following preliminary hearing in General Sessions Court Tuesday afternoon. They are charged with possession of meth over a half a gram. Johnson is additionally charged with possession with intent to sell drugs and possession of a firearm by a felon.Johnson was pulled over by McMinnville Police Sgt. Ben Cantrell after the officer noticed the illegally dark tint on the windows of his Jaguar X3.
