Bridges of Hope Fellowship of McMinnville will host the 2nd annual New Year’s Eve Gospel Sing featuring Rhyme and Reason on Saturday at 6 p.m. Admission is free; however, a love offering will be received during the concert.
Rhyme and Reason is a revival and concert music ministry based out of Ft. Oglethorpe, Ga. Founded in 1996, the group has performed over 2000 concerts. Wayne Chasteen, founder of R&R, pastored churches for 10 years before entering into full-time evangelism with Rhyme and Reason. In addition to the concert dates, minister Chasteen preaches, as R&R leads in worship, for more than 20 revivals per year. They are on the roster of recording artists for Battlefield Records.
The music of Rhyme and Reason has often been heard on radio with several songs having charted nationally. Wayne Chasteen and Mary McKinley both write the music for R&R. Combined, they have written more than 500 songs. A typical concert will include southern gospel, praise and worship, light contemporary, freshly arranged hymns, and original music compositions. There is truly something that everyone will enjoy!
Bridges of Hope Fellowship is located at 4023 Smithville Hwy. toward Smithville about 1-1/2 miles outside of the city limits.
