New election rule in place to help voters understand

Thanks to new election law changes taking effect in Tennessee, voters may actually understand what they are voting on. “Among numerous changes is an amendment to TCA 2-6-201(9), that we think our voters will be happy about,” said Susie Davenport, Election Commission employee. “It clarifies that any question submitted to the people on the ballot must be worded in such a way that a ‘yes’ vote indicates support for the measure and a ‘no’ vote indicates opposition.”Added Election Commission employee David Pendergraph, “One of the new law changes we especially want to get out to the public is we will no longer accept a photo ID from another state.
