Moulton to compete in state pageant

Leslie Karen Moulton 2012 Tennessee Soybean Festival Outstanding Teen will be competing in the Miss Tennessee Outstanding Teen pageant March 17 in Jackson at Liberty Technology Magnet High School.
Miss Tennessee Outstanding Teen 2011 Maidson Snipes, and Teen Princess Jocelynn Jordan will be making award presentations.
Moulton, 16,  will compete in fitness, talent and interview categories at the pageant, as well as promote her Autism Awareness pageant platform. She is a Warren County High School sophomore, and is the daughter of John Moulton of Niceville, Fla., and Connie Moulton.  She is a member of the Pionerette dance team, and will be doing a dance presentation for her talent.
“I’m extremely passionate about my autism awareness platform, and am happy to say I founded the Tennessee Team of Hope for Autism Awareness in May,” said Moulton.
She also held a Soap for Hope Car Wash to raise funds for Autism Speaks, which is an organization that promotes awareness and research for autism.
Moulton volunteers at different local charities, as well as Queen for a Day at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital.
