A man who led police on a chase through Westwood on a motorcycle has been bound to the grand jury. The suspect, Aaron O’dineal, 20, waived his right to a preliminary hearing before General Session Judge Larry Ross in traffic court and was bound to the grand jury on charges of evading arrest and driving without a motorcycle license. He was arrested after what proved to be a short chase through the Westwood neighborhood which began near the bridge.“I was parked at Dr. Jeter’s office when I heard a motorcycle rev its engine,” recalled McMinnville Police Lt. Mark Mara, noting he then spotted the cycle crossing the bridge. “The motorcycle then went past me and accelerated to 64 mph across the bridge.” Lt. Mara said he turned on his blue lights as they neared Westwood Church of Christ prompting the cyclist to rev the gas on his motorcycle and speed away.“The motorcycle accelerated to 95 mph,” Mara said, noting he did not pursue the vehicle due to public safety concerns.
