Dr Pepper Bottling Company is proud to sponsor motivational speaker and author JeanAnn Reeves who will teach students at Boyd Christian School how to dare to realize their incredible value and excellence this Friday beginning at 8:50 a.m.
Designed for youth and young adults ages 12-18, the DRIVE presentation takes a real-life approach to reaching goals and building self-esteem.
“I’ve noticed that, unfortunately, so few youth and young adults truly believe in the abilities and talents they’ve been given. As a survival tool many spend their days knocking each other down instead of building each other up. When a person hears criticism day in and day out, they begin to believe those harmful messages,” said Reeves. “However, for most, deep down they want to succeed in life. But many don’t know where to begin. They haven’t been given the practical tools needed to achieve their individual goals.”
Reeves explained her motivational message teaches individuals how to be authentic first, then the step-by-step skills needed to successfully achieve a wide range of goals, not only now, but for the rest of their lives.
“Whether it’s math, language, spelling or any subject, for that matter, there are courses designed to teach students the building blocks of how to succeed in a particular subject,” said Reeves. “Just like those subjects I listed, that start with a foundation and build on the basics, I teach students the fundamentals of how to effectively reach their goals through easy-to-apply keys. I’m proud to have Dr Pepper Bottling Company as the sponsor for this event, too. I know this company sees the value of teaching Tennessee students how to be successful now, and for the rest of the lives. Dr Pepper is investing in Tennessee’s most valuable resource – the students.”
In addition to speaking to youth and young adults at schools, churches and community events, Reeves was also inspired to write a book titled, “Dare to Realize your Incredible Value and Excellence: The 10 Keys to Being your Personal and Professional Best!”
“Unlike so many books on the market today that provide the reader with a message, then hopes the reader can read between the lines to figure out how to apply it their life, my book encourages readers to stop along the way while reading the book to automatically apply it to their lives,” said Reeves.
Reeves will have books available for sale the day of the event. She said she believes her DRIVE program will teach youth and young adults – regardless of their situation, circumstances or limitations in life – how to achieve their dreams and goals.
