Boyd 10th-grader Brea Moody emerged from a field of hundreds of entrants to win the American Association of University Women Art Show at Three Star Mall.“I decided to do a landscape, sort of a desert scene,” said Moody. “It’s all done using water colors.”Local resident Joe Stillwell was so impressed with Moody’s artwork, he arranged to get a copy of it after the show.“I’ve looked at all of these and I really admire this one,” said Stillwell referring to Moody’s painting.Other winners included Lily Gillespie, Marynia Harris, Hunter Kelley, and Michael Mullican. Harris had one of the more unique entries.“My teacher told us we could create anything we wanted but it had to be using a chicken,” said Marynia.
