An audit by the Tennessee State Comptroller has determined more than $20,000 is missing from Warren County Memorial Airport. The missing money comes from the sale of aircraft fuel, hangar rentals, and the rental of two houses on airport-owned property. The money was reportedly collected by the airport manager, but it was never deposited with the Warren County Trustee’s Office. The dates for the state audit, conducted in conjunction with the TBI, are from July 1, 2007 to Sept. 30, 2011. The audit never mentions the airport manager by name, although county records show John Patterson served as airport manager from Aug. 9, 2006 to Sept. 19, 2011.
