Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam challenged key stakeholders from across the state to be creative in finding ways to better serve seniors through partnerships among public, private and non-profit sectors during his opening remarks at the Governor’s Summit on Aging held last week at Lipscomb University in Nashville.McMinnville-Warren County Senior Center director Cheryl Watson Mingle attended due to her longtime involvement in issues affecting seniors and the aging in Warren County. Mingle says she was excited to be a part of the summit and have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of Tennessee seniors.“Right now it’s very important to address these issues because of the baby boomers,” Mingle said.
