Competing in the Miss Tennessee Scholarship Pageant earlier this year must have been good experience for Melanie Rush.
Rush showed poise and beauty at the Warren County Fairgrounds on Monday night to claim the title of Fairest of the Fair from a field of 58 contestants.
The first runner-up was Taylor ElGouhary. Second runner up was Kelsey Lawrence. Third runner-up was Glenna Beaty.
It was the second pageant in nine days full of activity at the fairgrounds. The Little Fairest is Tuesday night, followed by the baby show on Wednesday.
