A man who lied about his real name even though it was tattooed on his forearm will serve a month in jail. The man, Eloy Alverez Serna, 23, was ordered by General Sessions Judge Larry Ross to serve 30 days and pay $50 plus court costs for driving without a license. The extra charge of criminal trespassing was dismissed as part of the plea bargain. It was his posing as someone he was not that helped catch the attention of police when he was pulled over near Old Smithville Highway. Patrolwoman Leilani DeFore was informed there were outstanding warrants on the suspect but when he was asked, the man gave a fake name.“He said his name was Martin Salasar,” DeFore said, noting she noticed another name was tattooed on his forearm.
