A man who sped through Walmart’s parking lot endangering shoppers as he ran from police has been given a year in jail. The man, Jeremy D. Loader, entered guilty pleas before General Sessions Judge Bill Locke on charges of resisting arrest, reckless endangerment, and shoplifting. He was given an 11-month, 29-day sentence to serve and has been ordered to stay out of Walmart and make $60 restitution for the items he stole.Loader was being approached by McMinnville policeman Ben Cantrell for taking several quarts of motor oil from the store without paying for them.“He was sitting in the driver seat of a white Ford Ranger and began fumbling with items in the truck and was repeatedly ordered to stop and exit the vehicle,” Cantrell said in his warrant against Loader. “He then drove away at a high rate of speed through the parking lot with no regard for other vehicles or citizens.”Officer Cantrell said a check of Loader’s driving status revealed he had no driver license.
