Man jailed for DUI with child

A father who was caught drunk behind the wheel with his 2-year-old son in the car will serve 75 days in jail.The father, Miguel Campos, 21, was sentenced to serve 75 days of an 11-month, 29-day sentence, pay $1,600 plus costs, perform 24 hours public service work, and lose his driver license for two years for second-offense DUI. The additional charge of child endangerment was dismissed as part of his plea bargain.His jail time comes after McMinnville police officer Kenneth Seagraves located him in the Waffle House parking lot after his vehicle was given out and the driver listed as a possible drunk driver.Upon arrival, officers reported finding several beer containers in plain sight. It was then they noticed Campos was unsteady on his feet during his field sobriety tests. A breath test taken at the scene registered .12 which is slightly over the legal limit for intoxication which is set at .08 in Tennessee.A check of Campos’ license revealed he had another DUI in the state of Idaho last year making him a multiple offender.
