Armed robbers reportedly burst into a man’s home on Muncey Street on Sunday night, stealing his money and medicine after pistol whipping him as he lie on the floor.
Police say two men, disguised under black masks, charged into the house without warning late Sunday night.
“A man with a black mask and hooded shirt rushed through the door at him with a pistol in his hand,” said McMinnville Police Sgt. Nicole Mosley, noting the victim was told to get on the floor at gunpoint.
Despite complying, the man was pistol whipped by the gunman as he lie on the floor. The suspects then ransacked the man’s house as he remained on the floor, suffering from being hit by the grip of the gun.
The men fled the scene a short time later with money and prescription pills. Neighbors reported seeing two men run away from the scene but did not get a good description. The victim refused treatment for his injuries.
