In a case lawmen say is among the most disturbing they have seen, a local man has been indicted for molesting a handicapped toddler. The suspect, Joseph Anthony Saitta Jr., is being held at Warren County Jail awaiting trial on the charge of child rape. If convicted he could face 15 to 25 years in prison, all to be served without possibility of parole.Saitta is denying the charge and has been scheduled for trial Feb. 7.Saitta faces the charge after sheriff’s investigators say he molested a disabled girl. While not giving her exact age, officers say she was under the age of 5 and required around-the-clock medical care due to her condition. The crime, investigators say, happened while the nurse, who usually watched the girl, was out of the house with the mother of the victim, leaving her alone with Saitta.
