A man who failed to secure his cellphone has been convicted for making false calls to 911, all aimed at trying to catch his girlfriend with another man.The defendant, Luis Becerra Rodriguez, 28, entered a guilty plea before General Sessions Judge Larry Ross to the charge of misuse of the 911 system. He was ordered to pay $50 plus costs and perform 16 hours public service work.The episode began when 911 received a call Saturday night. The caller claimed there was a party happening at Yager Apartments and narcotics were involved.
