Maintenance man accused of stealing

A maintenance man charged with felony burglary for cleaning out a tenant’s apartment claims he was doing just that, moving out the resident’s valuables so the dwelling could be painted.The suspect, Brigham Taylor Young Jr., 31, is not only the maintenance man for Creekwood Apartments, but also a former corrections officer and Rescue Squad member in White County. And, witnesses say, he was wearing his Rescue Squad uniform and driving his squad vehicle when he allegedly burglarized the apartment.According to police reports, the victim in the case was just moving in to the apartment and had brought a Vizio TV, a Dell laptop computer, and a Craftsman tool set. The tenant then left, planning to come back and continue moving in the next day.
