Maggie Locke and April Hibdon received top honors last week during an Upper Cumberland Social Services Association banquet.Locke was recognized as the organization’s volunteer of the year, while Hibdon received the award of social services person of the year.Locke, 86, is widowed and was the mother of six children. She was nominated by association member Dianne Wood.“I have known Mrs. Maggie for over 30 years and she has truly been an inspiration to me,” wrote Wood in her nomination letter. “Despite her age, nothing appears to slow her down.
