A truck thief who left his cellphone in a stolen vehicle during the excitement of the auto heist was sentenced to 60 days in jail.The forgetful driver, Travis Dewayne Hawkins, 26, entered guilty pleas before Circuit Court Judge Bart Stanley to charges of assault and the reduced charge of joyriding. He was originally charged with grand theft but the charges were reduced as part of his plea bargain. He was directed to serve 60 days of an 11-month, 29-day sentence.The original theft charges were for his theft of a large truck.
