If you have adopted a pet from Warren County Animal Control and Adoption Center, you are in for a treat.

Animal Control is looking for candidates for its upcoming photo calendar and inviting all who have adopted from the facility to enter photos for consideration. The photos will be voted on by the public and the 12 with the most votes will have professional photos taken of them to be featured in the calendar.

“We are so appreciative of all the families who have adopted pets from us,” said Animal Control director Sherri Bradley. “With this calendar, we wanted to showcase what rescue is all about. Seeing the pets we worked hard to nurse back to health or restore their trust in people go on to a happy, loving home means the world to us and that’s what we want to share with this calendar.”

Those who wish to enter a photo can do so on the Southern Standard Facebook page via the pinned post. Likes or other reacts can be given to each photo to show your support for that particular entry. Photos can feature the pet and their new family or a standalone photo of the pet itself. Participants are encouraged to write a little about when they adopted their pet and any backstory or updates they wish to share. The voting period ends on July 31st.

There is no cost for entry and the only requirements are that the pets originated from Animal Control. A few places to sponsorship of the calendar are still available at $25 each and go directly to the cost of printing the calendars. Interested parties who want to sponsor can do so by calling Animal Control at 507-3647.
