A man who leapt from a second-story window to get away from police has been given 90 days in jail. The fugitive, Christopher Tyler Young, 31, entered guilty pleas to charges of aggravated assault, assault, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and theft. He was ordered to serve 90 days of a four-year sentence. His jail time comes after police arrived at an apartment looking for a wanted person. Young, who didn’t want to be questioned by officers, decided to bail from a back window when he heard police enter the apartment.“He jumped from a second-story window and fled the scene,” said McMinnville Police Sgt. Ben Cantrell, noting a short time later it was discovered why Young was so motivated to flee.“We located a box of 40-caliber ammunition that belonged to Mr. Young,” Cantrell said, noting the suspect is a convicted felon with a long record and is therefore restricted from possessing a firearm. The subsequent investigation revealed the gun was actually hidden under a pillow while police were in the apartment and he had stolen the firearm.
