A Northcutt’s Cove woman has been charged with reckless endangerment after two four-wheeler riders said she terrorized them with her pickup truck. The woman, Melody Dawn Lovell, 41, faces two counts of reckless endangerment and one count of theft.According to victim Robert Kirby, he and Zach Norris were riding four-wheelers and had just come from the woods when they spotted a maroon GMC truck in the road. He said Lovell was behind the wheel. Kirby told officers his mother had problems with Lovell coming onto her property and breaking things in the past.Kirby said he drove down the road on his ATV and Lovell began speeding up, heading toward them.“She came within 10 feet of our four-wheelers,” Kirby swore in his warrants against the woman, noting they were unable to make the turn into their driveway due to how close the truck was tailgating them.Kirby said the truck got even closer on another pass, missing them by three to five feet.
